Live Visuals ?  What’s that ?

The Operators of Live Visuals are called VJ’s. What they do is often called “VJing”. Up to now there is no standard definition for this term, Wikipedia definites VJing as the following:
“VJing is a broad designation for realtime visual performance. Characteristics of VJing are the creation or manipulation of imagery in realtime through technological mediation and for an audience, in synchronization to music. VJing often takes place at events such as concerts, nightclubs, music festivals and sometimes in combination with other performative arts. This results in a live multimedia performance that can include music, actors and dancers.”
At this point we would like to add, that there are lots of different terms for that kind of profession – Visual Artist, Visualist, Indivisualist, VJ,… and so on. We would define ourselves as Visual Artists or Visualists, which stands for the whole visual artwork we do and VJing or working as a VJ can be a one part of that.

The Motionlab Approach

We really love to create very unique floor and stage designs and complete them with individual visual content. We believe in a strong relationship between content and appearing but MOTIONLAB can be also booked as a VJ crew where we come to the location, plug in and play.

Our approach is to escape people’s minds from everyday life and allow them to forget their ordinary senses and dive into lights, colors and geometry. Our live setups stands for homegrown high quality visual content which is triggered to the beat of the music to create an audiovisual experience for the audience. When music and visual comes together you can create these moments full of magic.

MOTIONLAB is used to handle  multiscreen and high defintion projections  as well as  LED setups and our team on the fly can come fully hardware equipped.

Please feel free to contact us for further information and sales inquiries.
